Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education & Recreation (Health Education)
The mission of the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation is to increase health equity throughout Mississippi. To accomplish this mission, the Health Education major prepares students to provide adolescents with functional health knowledge while strengthening their attitudes, beliefs, and practice skills needed to adopt and maintain healthy behaviors. Health Education majors receive hands-on student teaching experience in their senior year and earn Mississippi K-12 teacher licensure upon degree completion.
